Similar to the most recent reviews, I had an overwhelmingly positive experience with Mt. Vernon. Stacey in the office was always really responsive and helpful and Brian and Connor were so friendly and we always appreciated seeing them in the building for maintenance. They earned two stars because of the disregard for their tenants with the recent sale to Alpha. Alpha has fundamentally changed life at our building. If you are reading this review you should be wary of doing business with Mount Vernon. They do not care for their tenants and are willing do business with the worst people in Boston. They sold our building immediately after the date they required tenants to resign their lease to Alpha Management. Since Alpha took over our building has gotten worse and worse. Obviously if we had known who they were selling to we would not have resigned. Ownership at Mount Vernon should be ashamed of their actions.
I’ve lived at one of their properties for the past three years, and until recently, I really had a positive experience with Mount Vernon. They were responsive, kept the building well maintained, and were always professional to deal with, which is why this situation has been disappointing. First off Ill start by saying our time with Mount Vernon was great, and we chose the apartment we did because they were extremely courteous, and seemed to actually take tenant's best interests in mind. They kept the building clean, maintained, and were nothing but kind and pleasant to deal with.
