So-so – The food is well-prepared if uninspired. Ambiance is relaxed and 'very Newport'. However, what would have been an 8 or 9 night was ruined by the rude bartender we encountered while waiting for our table. Knocked the rating down considerably. My husband and I will head for Clark Cooke from now on.
A MUST STOP!!!!!!!! – As an avid Newport visitor, summer is not summer without a trip, I highly recommmend the Mooring. It's off the "beaten path" right on the habor, a great view. Wonderful and interesting dishes not to mention the friendly and professional service. Has never let us down in 12 years. A MUST STOP!!!!!!!
