About this business
Everything baked from scratch. We never use pre-made batters, doughs, or fillings. We use a non-GMO flour and use cane sugar instead of beet sugar. We never deep fry anything, everything is baked. We pride ourselves in using as many non-GMO, all natural and organic products as possible. We brew our own vanilla in house and also make our own yogurt. Thanks to a Dells Coupon stop, I made my way from Madison to Sauk-luckily there wasn't a long line for the books so I went in for a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie and a small twist soft serve cup. Both were amazing and homemade! Upon receiving the books, we also received a fresh baked (still warm) chocolate chip cookie! It was also delightful! I will be back for more when passing through!!
For years, I swore off muffins because the standard these days is dense and dry. Not at The Mixing Bowl Bakery! They are moist, light, and only $2. The bakery has a wide variety of treats, from quiche to ice cream to baked goods and coffee. There's something for everyone. It's all delicious. The best part? This business is run by a nice family that takes the time to get to know you (and remember your name). I keep going back again and again, and I don't plan to stop. <3

We found this bakery by sheer accident, and it was a wonderful highlight of our trip! The bakery is owned by a young couple and their kids, and they add a delightful bit of joy to the visit. The bakery is EXCELLENT!! The baked, yes baked, doughnuts are light and fluffy and just the right touch of sweetness.
