Our History (sorry it's long, but we are an old company) The McDonough Funeral Home history begins around the turn of the 19th century in Lowell, Massachusetts during the Industrial Revolution. At the time, Lowell was a major industrial center and contained more cotton spindles then all 11 states of the former confederacy combined.
