Our History (sorry it's long, but we are an old company) The McDonough Funeral Home history begins around the turn of the 19th century in Lowell, Massachusetts during the Industrial Revolution. At the time, Lowell was a major industrial center and contained more cotton spindles then all 11 states of the former confederacy combined. RecommendedLast week my family lost our mother, Patricia Novicki. The staff at McDonough Funeral home were so kind and compassionate during this difficult time of grief for our family. The staff took so much time to answer all our questions and meet all our needs, there were times I felt I was calling too much and asking too many questions but they were more than willing to go above and beyond. We are deeply grateful.

The McDonough Funeral home provides the services for my mom. The staff was amazing. They were professional, had empathy and truly showed that they are in this because they understand the grieving process. My mom looked beautiful in the casket, they made her look as natural and just like herself. Any change we needed made during the whole process was addressed without hesitation. Joe and Johanna were amazing, thank you for all your help and professionalism!
Our experience here was great. They were professional and caring. The personal touches they made without the family even asking were endearing. My brother in law passed away, he was an avid Bruins fan. The day of the funeral, they all had Bruins ties on, the hearse had a Bruins flag and the driver had a Bruins shirt...the gentleman who assisted us at the burial site wore a Bruins Jersey. I can't express what that meant to his wife...it was an added personal touch that will never be forgotten. Thank you
