The Marine Mammal Center is a nonprofit veterinary research hospital and educational center dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of ill and injured marine mammals - primarily elephant seals, harbor seals, and California sea lions. They have helped me many times in my 20yrs here on the central coast. I've taken countless shorebirds to meet with a volunteer to transfer them to a safe place to rehab and hopefully be re-released into the wild and took one to the center in Morro Bay...you guys rock!!! Much love to the dedicated volunteers...I carry boxes and old towels, etc, just in case...a young couple at the dog beach found an injured gull and I was able to give the the info and directions to Pacific Wildlife. They take care of Marine animals that find themselves in situations that can cause them great injury or sometimes even death! They are trained to rescue these animals and then return them to the wild if the t is at all possibles! Many of these people are volunteers. Cudos to them! Bless these volunteers. Bless the Marine Marine Mammal Center!
