Worst ever. – What a nightmare this place is. It's convenient to my morning stop at Coffee Bean, so instead of making a second trip to the Post Office to mail a package, I thought, "it must be the same price so I'm sure it's fine." WRONG. I paid $4.50 for a First-Class parcel that (I looked up later online) should have only been $2.50 by USPS standards of weight and size. But the woman who works there doesn't give you a heads-up on how much it's going to cost until she's already run the postage through the system, so you're trapped into paying nearly double the correct postage for your item. It's truly ridiculous. When I commented "that's kind of a lot of money for first class," I was met with silence (and an open hand waiting for my money). This place overcharges for postage, their prices for packaging are outrageous, they are completely unhelpful and unfriendly, and I don't see any reason to ever return except for the convenience of the location (which is not compelling enough a reason for me!). I'd rather make a second stop at USPS any day than ever bring my business to this place again.

remarkable disregard for customer concerns – This lady wasn't even willing to pretend to look for my lost item. She avoided any responsibility or entertained even the possibility that there could've been a mix-up somewhere in the huge disorganized pile of mail chaos growing in their corner. I had to ask 3 times for her to just humor me by going over to the mail mountain area to see if my item could've fallen behind the counter or got stuck under something. She seemed to think that was impossible, yet I've never known anyone to not receive their priority mail envelopes when sent from a post office. This place is an over priced mess, AVOID.

Awful Customer Service! – This place deserves less than one star. The "lady" who obviously manages or owns the place was completely disinterested when I tried to drop off some prepaid UPS packages as she wasn't making a sale and actually tried to charge me for using a few pieces of tape needed to affix the labels. As someone who has lived in Hancock Park for over 25 years, I have never experienced such unfriendly and rude customer service. The Mail Shoppe should be avoided at all costs.
