Stay as far away as possible – DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. There are too many dogs, it smells, staff is terrible. After one week of boarding my dog was pikced up from there while i was overseas with kennel cough. No one let me know, no one called, no one took care of her. THEN, when she was brought back with medication, they wouldnt take her back! Firstly, the never called to tell me she was sick, they did not treat her, and lastly would not take responsibility. They claimed to have her groomed, when I picked her up she smell... read more

Dirty and risky. Be careful! – Have picked up many of my clients dogs here and have dealt with unfriendly and unknowledgable staff. The place smells of urine and feces. There are two many dogs there. If and when the dogs are supervised they are with staff that knows nothing about dog behavior. Many of my clients have complained about how their dogs have gotten bitten and returned home traumitized. Tamar Gellar is the owner. She was a guest on Oprah Winfrey, whom Oprah had train her dogs. Oprah should do her homework after wh... read more

Not so Loved – We don't go to the loved dog anymore. All our favorite staff members are gone and it just isnt the same anymore. Too bad, this place was a great place to leave you dog.

Horrible Experience – After picking up my dogs, I found that the smaller of the two had been left to sit in his feces for what I can only imagine to be a lengthy amount of time. The amount of residue matted into his fur was enough to cause major concern. It was obvious to me, and my vet, that my dogs were neglected - most likely due to the high volume of animals kept at The Loved Dog. I eventually was given a full refund. I would sooner never leave town again than leave my dogs with the "caregivers" at The Loved Dog.

Nice staff but dirty facilities and just too many dogs. – Lets start with the cleanliness. The facilities are all in doors, so the dogs go to the bathroom, all over the floor inside. When I was there, I watched them scoop up the mess, but they did not spray the area to disinfect it (and if you have ever used a scooper, you know about the leftover residue). Let me inform you that the dogs sleep on this ground. As for the wet stuff, they used a mop to wipe over the puddle and then leaned the mop up against the wall (in the sam... read more

Expensive-- but worth it – The only downside I've found to owning dogs is the worry that goes along with finding the right person to watch them when I go out of town. Family is great--but they don't live nearby. Friends are terrific--but I can only ask so often. Kennels are convenient, but leaving them in cage breaks my heart. The Loved Dog offers the best of all worlds. The staff offers the care and attention that my family would, while always being available. And, the fact that it's a cage-free kennel--and the dogs get to ... read more
