I LOVE IT! I have been here 4 times for quilt retreats. My sister and I drive 5 1/2 hours to this beautiful lodge and many of the ladies drive even farther. It is a wonderful place with owners who are just as wonderful! This place would be great for anything from retreats to reunions. Very comfortable and homey!
We had a great time at The Lodge this week. I was most impressed with the fact that with 20+ people we never once ran out of hot water. The kitchen is most accommodating for such a large group as ours. The bedrooms are cozy and sound proof enough that toddlers and teens running around didn't disturb the sleeping babies. Definitely would come back!
What a wonderful place for our family reunion! The Lodge is beautiful and so great for a large group. The bedrooms provide privacy and comfort. Everything was clean and in working order. The wrap-around porch not only provided a hot-tub, swings and a lovely view, but wrought iron tables and chairs for outdoor dining. The huge dining room was amazing and a great place for Karaoke after dinner!! We rented a pontoon boat and were able to tour the beautiful Douglas Lake in three goups over the six hours. Sara and Mike are wonderful people. They went above and beyond to help make our day special. The lodge is amazing and very well taken care of. Great place for a wedding, corporate retreat, family reunion, or any other large group gathering. Thank you again Sara and Mike!
Sara and Mike go out of their way to make sure all of their guests have a great time! It's like a 'home away from home!'
This place is a little out of the way but well worth the trip. It in a nice peaceful setting. For quilt retreats you can bring you friends and make new ones. Good time, good food, good friends and lots of quilt making.
