The lodge is beautiful. The people are amazing. They truly make you feel like you are something special! Two thumbs up people this is a diamond in the rough!
Sara and Mike are awesome, the area has lots to do, all four seasons are fun to explore there. very quiet place, and can sleep up over 20 family members, or quilting friends. always have fun there.🙂
I went on a Quilting retreat with my Best friend to celebrate our Birthdays. What started out as a getaway trip quickly turned into a planned yearly event before we ever left the first time. We are now looking forward to our next time and counting down the weeks till we get to go back. I highly recommend this venue for any event; Reunions, Family GetTogethers, Church Events and just Chillaxing time. Mike and Sara are great people and treat you like friends of the family. It couldn't have been more perfect for us!!

Sara is amazing! The Lodge is so beautiful and I highly recommend you bring all the girls for a Ladies only trip! Or the gather the whole family and stay with some of the best owners in the biz!!
Beautiful lodge and the hospitality is beyond expectations. Sara and Mike really make you feel at home. The kitchen is huge and nice. Rooms are comfortable. I have attended 2 quilt retreats here and would love to go back. Beautiful area with lots to explore.
As a quilter, this is the best place I have ever been for a quilt retreat! It is a beautiful lodge owned and operated by a beautiful couple, Mike and Sara Wall. They make sure their guest are treated as friends and they also make sure you are never disappointed with your visit. I have made so many friends from all over the United States who have come together to quilt and just have a great time in this wonderful place called THE LODGE at DOUGLAS LAKE! Thank you, Mike and Sara.
