I can only speak to my one dinner and of course many people have had excellent experiences! For me, I was taken back at the lack of transparency. Upon researching the restaurants history and website, I had anticipated certain things but chef Kelly Grindstaff hasn't been there in months. And nope Chef Edward Higgens didnt come back to fill in. Potato leek soup was divine!!
Tonight we visited the lively, after many years of coming here. I was extremely disappointed. No one is allowed upstairs unless it is an event, dinner is in the bar area on the first floor. The menu follows the ambiance. It's not bad, but not great like it used to be. To start, we ordered warm olives and almonds, but the waitress failed to bring us small plates to put them on.
