Beautiful artistry. Both Asian and African influences are visible. No chawan or yunomi in the stricter sense of the form - but David and Junko's creative sublimation of those forms are in much of their work. Stunning glazes and glaze-work matched with stone wear clay bodies so that the glazes "play" with speckles in the clay. It was a delight to find that much of their work was displayed outside - and apparently "stored" out there! We visited today. Had a wonderful chat with relatives of David's. Love my mugs I bought today & I promise we will return for another visit!
