Great atmosphere, beer and food. What else can one ask for?! Water Street is quaint, and feels very small-town America. I especially loved the public pier with 20+ Adirondack chairs overlooking the Kennebec.
The food was great, and the service was exceptional!
My girlfriend and I sat down at the bar for a drink. The bartender (I think his name is Dan) completely ignored us for about 30 minutes. Once we got his attention he was extremely rude. We asked him if they carried a certain brand of tequila and he responded with "no because we are not Margaritas" in a very condescending tone. Needless to say I paid for the exact total for my beer sample paddle and we walked out. Never felt more belittled or disrespected.
