Very unhappy with overall stay. Didn't receive all of my meds when I first arrived. I am of sound mind and pay attention to what I take. Makes you wonder about those who can't advocate for themselves. Also they ran out of one of my meds twice. The communication here is awful shower days are twice a week and they had that mixed up. Currently share a room with a 95 year old woman that moans a.d groans all nite. The nurse and aides are pretty good but are over worked and very short staffed. The office staff think all about the ... read more

So far so good – I looked at dozens of places for my mom and did not find any that i liked, so my sister and i decided to take care of her at home the best that we could. After about a year my mother could not control her bowels or walk anymore. She needed 24 hour professional care. This was the hardest decision i ever had to make. I was surprised on how well she is adjusting, she even it likes it! At christmas time the kids from a local high school came over and decorated the residents wheelchairs and passed out cookies and... read more

A Nice Place with Caring Staff – The Laurels of Hilliard is a great place to take your loved one if they need the care of a nursing facility. The whole staff, including the Director and the nurses, worked with us to make sure that excellent care was given to my mother. They are really nice there and I would definitely recommend them!

Exceeding Expectations – The Laurels of Hilliard exceeds expectations of those it serves. The staff is very caring and goes above and beyond to provide my loved one the care that is needed. Not only do they provide communication through family care conferences, the managers are always availabe to assist with anything needed. The Administrator seems to be there all the time and genuinely cares about the facility. Every center has issues. Trust me I know! My dad has been to 4 places and The Laurels has really met our expectaio... read more

The Best of the Bunch – I am so pleased with the level of care my grandmother recieved while she was a resident there. The staff was always respectful to her, and whenever she needed something, they always helped her with a smile, not made to feel like a burden as I have witnessed at other nursing homes that I have visited. I am especially pleased with the activity director, Navi, who consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty to make sure the residents are engaged and having fun. Nursing homes can be depressing pla... read more

Worst Nursing Home – Have a mother and sister there. Moving them ASAP. Too many errors with staff, not enough care by director. Experiencing same problems as "Love" with same results. They need to get rid of Kelly (director) and get someone who cares about residents, not their paycheck. They also need to get rid of Rhonda (nurse), and Julie (another nurse), and get better communication between staff, and start listening to the family's complaints. We are not complaining just to complain...there are ligimate reasons for these... read more

Extremely Poor. – Had to move my family member after many mtgs with the staff with no action taken. Items addressed: pain meds not administered, call light not answered in timely manner (often not at all), missed meals, proper hygeine not administered and when ill denied access to a physician (our family ended up scheduling the appointment on three separate occasions waiting as long as a month on one such occasion). I would often arrive and find her soaked in urine, or half dressed lying on a bed with no linens. Transportati... read more

Very Poor Service. – Very Poor Management, The Staff didn't care either. I went to visit a resident that normally doesn't get visitors and as a former employee, I was treated like crap. The lady that runs the building Kelly Darrow is a complete idiot..
