I walked in on a Saturday around 1pm. Stood there for 5-10 minutes, NO ONE acknowledged us. The guys in the kitchen clearly saw us through the giant window. No idea where any host or waitstaff were and obviously the kitchen guys didn't bother to get them. Walked right out.

Very nice restaurant with a positive vibe. I do think it's gotten a bit over-hyped. The standout dishes were the Grilled Japanese Eggplant, with pickled vegetables and breadcrumbs with duck fat (yum), and the Dark Chocolate 'Creme Brûlée' (adding passionfruit ice cream was inspired). The disappointment was the Caramelized East Coast Diver Scallops. While the squash blossom tempura was perfect, the dish was so salty we could eat it. Deliciously differently imaginative and exciting food. Cool laid back ambience, the train track with passing trains adds to its charm. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Great evening.
