Unfortunately, this provider did not take into account the whole child with regard to the evaluation. The child was defined as “unmotivated, not trying”, despite the history of school trauma, poor intervention at multiple schools (using ineffective methods for teaching literacy). I would recommend a provider who is more up to date with regard to neurodivergent children (humans) and also advocates for the needed healing with regard to reading trauma. Since beginning to work with Dr. Conca my son has made huge progress with his speech and with his reading. He went from being behind his peers to on track and has gained confidence in his speech and reading skills through their work together. I highly recommend Cindy if your child has speech, language, or reading difficulties. She is dedicated to helping children, has ample experience, and really knows her stuff! Plus, she makes learning fun for kids!

I brought Dr. Conca a little boy that hated reading and was not progressing at the rate his school expected. After a few months with her I found him sitting on the sofa with a book in his hand!!! He had picked it up by choice. In just a few months she brought him up to speed and he was reading at the same level as his classmates.
