I believe that purchasing a Kolter Home at Cresswind is unfortunately the biggest regret of my life. They used, in my opinion, the most inexpensive and low quality products as well as sub-par sub-contractors and we had to call and call to get the issues resolved. There are little to no trees in the back yard and we had several trees and bushes die in the first year. Based upon our experience of purchasing a home from them (Cresswind in Westlake), as well as others, it is our opinion that their quality and workmanship is terrible. They took the cheapest way to do everything. We found their contractors and/or subcontractors to be sub-standard. Their warranty manager, in our opinion based upon our experience, was completely ineffective and at times non-responsive. We felt that they were not there for us after the sale was complete. Very disappointed in the developer’s choice of HOA management for this community. The management company hired by the developer has shown a consistent lack of communication, poor rule enforcement, and no apparent financial oversight. Most recently, the water was shut off in our gym and clubhouse due to an unpaid bill, which never should have happened. This reflects poorly on the developer’s decision-making and oversight. Homeowners deserve better leadership and accountability from the very beginning.
