We had a delightful family dinner here last night. The chef came out to talk about putting together a special dinner that I could eat because of dietary restrictions. His suggestions were creative and delicious. All six of us totally enjoyed our dinners. Lamb chops, tenderloin, flank steak, scallops, and butternut squash risotto were all done perfectly. My tenderloin with bernaise sauce was perfectly cooked. We'll be back.
Yesterday’s brunch was to die for. It set the tone for a wonderful day with some of my favorite people. Thank you!
I'm not going to review the food but rather discuss what the management/owner finds acceptable. This was our second of two poor experiences at The Kitchen. In full disclosure, both experiences were during Chestertown's Harry Potter Festival, a day when the quaint town brings in hundreds, possibly thousands, of new customers and their families to the community. The best! Especially on Thursday... the chef made me a signature pasta dish!!
The three of us food snobs all had terrific entrees .... perfectly grilled salmon ... awesome ham, mac and cheese casserole, and broiled scallops that melted in your mouth. And since it was Wednesday night, the wine was half price!
Beef Wellington was out of this world. Great location to catch up with old friends. Great service.
The Day Boat Scallops were to die for! I'll be back!!
