Perfect hotel for a two night getaway from Chicago. The guys at the Valet stand are friendly and professional. And hats off to Louis the Bellman, he has the best smile and along with being gracious and helpful, he sent me home with a bottle of water on a 100° day. This is our second time staying at the Kimpton and he leaves a lasting impression of kindness.
While the location is good and the majority of the staff was pleasant and helpful, we did have a few issues. One of the people at the front desk was rude and short with me when we had an issue of our key card not working the next day. Also we visited the roof top bar at about 11pm and never got waited on. A waiter came over and said he would be right back, but after 15 minutes he never did, so we left. Lasty it took almost 30 minutes to get our car after requesting it. One night in Milwakee before our Viking Cruise. Always like Kimptons.
I stayed for my wedding - I brought them a 60 people room block. Not once did staff say congrats, they had nothing in our room (not even a note saying congratulations), they also put us THE BRIDE AND GROOM in the room with window view being a brick wall. TERRIBLE customer service - would not stay here again.
Great hotel. The quietest city hotel room I've ever stayed in. Close to so many walkable places and the on site bar and restaurant are great. The staff was friendly and so helpful.
