Worst experience ever. I came in a domestic violence situation. They have no compassion for you and they're racist and lazy. They pick and chose who they want to help. I could cry I have no help here for me or my children! The rooms are so cold and my kids got sick. They didn't care. Also the room I was assigned was moldy and drew on! I'm definitely reporting them!
They don’t help you if your racial status doesn’t fit their needs. PREJUDICE !
January 2024 my son and I were admitted to the hospital after my husband strangled me and knocked several of my teeth out. The next morning we were transported to the Julian center. This shelter was a safe haven and picked us back up. If you’re a battered woman this place will take you in. We had to follow the rules in order to stay. They have helped my son and I. We moved in our house on St. Patrick's Day. My advocate was African and there were more black residents than white so the claim that they only help white people made me laugh. The rooms were clean AND BOYY THEM VEGETABLES THE CAFE MADE WERE AMAZING!
