The James is a restaurant inside a Holiday Inn Express. As such it is a little better than most hotel included eateries. The bar area has a very appealing rustic motif. I only ordered the fish and chips but the portion was large and the haddock was delicious. The bill for the dinner and a large beer was a reasonable $25. The steak options looked good but since I didn't try them, I can't say. Over all surprisingly good for a hotel restaurant. I recommend it. I made reservations for the patio earlier in the day. When we arrived, we were scheduled to be seated inside. Fawn and Sarah went out of their way to make sure that we had a table outside. I cannot say enough good things about them. Finally seated outside, our food was great. Thanks girls!

Our server/bartender did an excellent job. I’d give him 4 stars. The food I’d give 2 stars. My boyfriend had the salmon and it was a little on the dry side even though he ordered it med rare. We didn’t want to complain about all three meals and sound like we were out to get free meals. The grilled cauliflower was a bit spicy for my boyfriend and the server got him... read more

Easter Brunch was very disappointing and not worth $20 per person. The mashed potatoes were gooey and like paste, the fish had no flavor, and the carving station was a joke- there was a beautiful roast turkey sitting there while the attendant sliced a processed turkey roll behind it. Food wasn’t replenished quickly, and what was there was not hot. We had family visiting from out of town and I was embarrassed that this is where we took them for Easter dinner. The sketchy part is that a couple weeks ago, a great sounding menu ... read more
