I believe the correct term for these “newly renovated” apartments is “lipstick on a pig” we stayed at this complex for one year and 1 extra month so I believe our review holds some weight. And hopefully they don’t erase it. We were first driven to these because of their low prices for the location (side note, the exact apartments were going for around 900). Although we can not fix what the previous management promised you, we have done our best to rectify any issue that has come up. We can not do anything in regards to not having individual A/C units, but we have kept up maintenance on our chiller and have not had any issues since Nov 2nd, 2018 (day of management change). I currently live at The Icon, my experience has been terrible. I feel I fell for “ Pretty on the outside, ugly on the inside (structurally) I have lived here for 5 months and have had many issues including plumbing, electrical and heating issues. The air conditioning has not been turned on and will not be till April 9 2018 even through there have been 90 degree days. The complex has a variety of people from infants to the elderly and I worry how they will handle the heat. The employees do not seem to care about its residents... read more
I just visited Icon and what an amazing transformation! It has been completely remolded and seems to have a top property management company running it now. If you want to live in Up-Town in a completely renovated and hip apartment, I would definitely check it out. Ignore previous reviews as it was a different owner/manager. This is now a definitely must see apartment community!
