Great food. Really nice people. Clean with good atmosphere.
I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. The hungry farmer was a tremendous place to eat breakfast, the omelette was amazing as well as the pancakes in their hand ground sausage. The world-famous home fries keep you wanting to eat more and more of them. The owner in waiter treated us like family and it deafly makes me want to come back to this place and eat again.
We ride mouth bikes for 2 hours to have lunch here. Excellent food, friendly people, and such a quiet atmosphere? Can't wait to go back.

Worth the drive! 👍 Mark got the juiciest tender Smoked-Brisket sandwich & hand-cut fries 😍 YUM and I got The best meaty full flavored Crab Cakes with a wonderful dill sauce YUM again... Yes... We shared. All food & desserts are homemade and cooked on spot. No Frozen Food Here! The owner, Scott Is a warm friendly country man. He's the cook too and takes pride in his dishes. Best breakfast I've had from a restaurant in a very long time. Eggs were perfect, sausage was fresh and the home fries were spot-on. Seriously, do try the home fries... they are the best I've had since eating those at the Carolina Coffee Shop in Chapel Hill in the early 1970's. Service was fast, friendly and down right home-style. Will eat here whenever I'm in South Hill, VA.
I have ate there plenty of times tried sum different every time and it was great the server was real nice I recommend it to anyone
Really enjoy Mom & Pop joints like this. A quiet lunch on our way back to Richmond. We had excellent service and awesome pulled pork. The cheeseburger was also great and the french fries were delicious.
