Highly recommend! I had a wonderful experience there. As soon as I walked up I was greeted pleasantly by the wonderful hostess. I had The Southerner burger, it was amazing, cooked perfectly and the bun, oh my! I ate every single bite, something I rarely do. The homemade chips were to die for and my server was on point! We had a great time at this place, a little bit of a wait, but we were taken care of with drinks and met the owner who is super friendly. Food was delicious and the town is biker friendly, thanks for making our time memorable.
Came to town to visit from Florida last night. Had to wait forever for the hostess to recognize we were standing at the stand. Then we were seated at hightops so we would be able to have a smoke. Sat down and no-one came to take our order. So i stood up and wave my arms and the hostess came over and I'll get someone over here in a few minutes. The Hotel Travern has become a favorite for lunch. Our pick is their Chicken Salad Sandwich on a croussant and burgers. We certainly look forward to expanding our pick from their menu. Their outside tables with umbrellas are nice. Dog friendly. The only suggestion I can add would be nice if they included music and on special occasions live music.
We decided to eat here for the first time before heading back home since they allowed dogs on there patio. I'm so glad we did! The staff were super friendly and we had the best service by far while visiting West Jefferson!! They brought water bowls for each of the pups without me asking them to!! Definitely dog friendly!! The food was amazing! Loved there homemade fried chips with my meal! Will be coming back the next time we visit West Jefferson!!
