This is a classic hotel. Makes you feel like you are back in the early 1900's. You have to visit when you are in the area.
Classic, great hold school hotel. Courtyard in the center is quite relaxing.
Has a great restaurant.
Try the peanut soup. Bread pudding with bourbon sauce for dessert. Nothing from the lunch buffet that I wouldn't recommend. All a feast for eye and palate.
Nice hotel, but to pay >$100 for a room with no refrigerator or microwave is unheard of in 2014
Amazing hotel. Delicious cookies given at checkin. Given a "pure" room but not sure how it compares to a standard room. Self parking is very far walk. Drop your stuff off at front then park!
Built in the 1880s, Hotel Roanoke is a beauty. The entire building and grounds are pristine. The views are amazing. For such elegance. It's surprisingly affordable.

Lobby lounge is great for a nightcap, but some late night room service would be good. Get your order in by 11pm or sleep hungry.
