Worst experience I've had at a store in a long time. I do not recommend the bangor store to anyone
I had a cracked toilet tank to exchange so I needed to meet with a manager to approve. I waited for 45 minutes to meet with Mandy. Eventually another manager came out and helped me and was great. However, I'm very disappointed in Mandy. It's poor customer service to make a customer wait that long because of your defective product and then never show up to apologize for the delay. The poor guy ahead of me also waiting for Mandy waited at least an hour and also never met with her.
I ordered a stove for my home and it broke within thirty days. Home Depot listened to everything I had to say, and did not care one bit that the very expensive appliance I ordered did not suit my needs. There's apparently zero tolerance return policy on appliances. It's not like sneakers, you don't get to pick the one that fits. They heard me. "I do Not want this stove it does not suit my needs." They worked hard to get me a replacement of the same stove I did not want. I hope this one lasts more than a month.
Ordered a large order of flooring online.. was sent messages via text and email saying our order was ready the following day..(after we had gone into the store to try and purchase it- was told they didn’t have enough in stock, so to wait and order it online when it was available). The manager called saying they didn’t have enough to fulfill our order.. as they apparently didn’t pull it and sold it. So we had to wait for yet another shipment. When you say you offer a military discount then do it. We took over a hour to load up 70 (1 X 6 X 8) tongue and groove. About 5 (1 X 3 X 8)..we go up front and we are told you don't give military discount on Lumber, electric and appliances. What the heck? What do you give discounts on, flowers and lawn furniture? Most military and veterans are doing home improvements they need the discount on the lumber. So we left it there and went to Lowe's who gives discounts on everything but their appliances. I purchased an antenna for my parents. I received it and they sent the wrong item. I spent an hour on hold the first time before getting disconnected, then an hour again. The second call resulted in me being told I would have to purchase the item again and then return the wrong one and wait until the return was complete before getting my refund. Got a chainsaw was used didn’t know that till I got home it broke I bought the warranty and all they would do is refund me my money so what’s the point of the warranty what a joke
So discusted in home depot at the moment and I have spent so much money there. Including but not limited to a washer, dryer, stove, building materials, electrical, flooring, tools and the list goes on.
