Ordered some stuff online to have delivered this morning because I didn't have time to go get it myself. I paid extra to get it delivered between 6am and 10am today. I look online at 10:15am and it said it was already delivered. I call home depot. they said it couldn't be delivered because the driver never picked it up. no matter they will get it to me by the end of the day. 4:30pm I call them. on hold for a very long time. We live 30 miles away so always call to see if what we need is in stock. We were told today, "I have no idea how much we have." Great customer service is definitely not something they're concerned with.
Went there earlier today and many customers were walking around not wearing a mask of any kind, and that's not counting the people who were wearing their masks incorrectly (this includes many of the employees). It's appalling how unconcerned the staff seems to be about this, and frankly it's disrespectful to everyone involved.
I advise everyone not to do any business with the Amsterdam Home Depot. They would not extend their warranty a couple of months, because of the pandemic, on shrubs we purchased last year which died. My husband and I are in our 70’s and not in the best of health, so we did no shopping except for necessities up until now. We received no understanding from the customer service rep or her supervisor on the phone. We will not be back there.
During the Covid pandemic, the Amsterdam, NY store does a terrible job at enforcing the wearing of masks. Big sign when you enter, then it’s every man for themselves.
Went in today to exchange an item. I needed the same item, different size. I was told by a rude clerk that she couldn’t do it without the receipt. She clearly took pleasure NOT helping. I asked to speak with the manager. She said the manager was busy. So I went to Lowe’s and bought the items I needed. Went home, found my receipt and brought it back.
