Large selection of home improvement items. Sales floor lagging on experience. Most of the staff on the sales floor dont know nothing about home improvement. I try to stick with smaller business hardware stores for how to's and advise.
I just left the El Cerrito store and it bothers me to see so many dying plants because of lack of water. This is a total waste. Once, they're dead I guess they go back to the supplier. Why don't they assign someone to water them....it's not rocket scientist.
Took the time to write a review for a product, followed all of their guidelines about what to include and not include, only to have it "rejected" with no further explanation (despite their claim that someone would contact me).
When I signed up for the Home Depot credit card I was told I would get 5% off every purchase. Then, they put in a small caveat, you have to ask for it. So, here's the solution. take a permanent marker and write :I WANT MY 5%! right on the front of the card and never use the self check out line. Works like a charm!
Every single time I go to this Home Depot, I am ALWAYS asked for my ID when making a purchase with my VISA card. The card is signed, and per VISA and MasterCards rules, ID can not be requested!! Would someone PLEASE explain to me why?! Fraud? Wrong!! Per VISA - Although Visa rules do not preclude merchants from asking for cardholder ID, merchants cannot make an ID a condition of acceptance. So I went to Home Depot at the bottom of High Street in Oakland to see if they had some garden stuff I needed. While I was looking at the bottom shelf I ran into a metal pillar (focus, focus!) and cut my forehead at the left eyebrow, nearly knocking myself into next week.
