I do security & love Working at The Home Depot Valley Stream and Elmont stores I also made some friendships at Springfield & Jamaica & Freeport Home Depot stores also
Today I had a great experience at the valley stream homedepot. The store was clean, the service was great and the shelves were stocked with everything I needed. I had to return some items but I lost my receipt how ever two employees went above and beyond to help me. Thank you Ryan who was the cashier at the returns desk and thank you Sean who took the time to help resolve my issue.
I have never in my life seen poorer customer service than in this location of Home Depot. A very nice associate in the Westbury location called Valley Stream to have merchandise held. The sale associate in Valley Stream advised us to come to the store because it was being held only to arrive and find out we now needed to locate the product in the store ourselves. I would not shop here ever again and in the future will bring my business to Lowe's.
So I went to this branch to purchase a cactus and when I got home I was very disappointed with their dishonesty and deception .they lead me to believe that it was blooming but only to realize that the cactus I purchased had glued on flowers.
My mother ordered a brand new washing machine from them. It flooded her basement on the first washing. She has been through 3+ services calls, a hairline crack was found in tub and Home Depot has washed their hands of it. She even had a service agreement. Hasn't even owned it 2 weeks!
While I love to support the smaller hardware stores you cannot beat Home Depot for their great selection. Sometimes the self checkout can be tricky with large bulky items but overall it was a pleasant shopping experience. �
