RecommendedTHANK YOU JUSTINE!!! On Monday, Oct. 5th, I ordered a dolly/ hand cart and 3 wardrobe boxes for pick-up from the Gurnee Home Depot. Upon pick-up, I was told that my dolly would be here Wednesday or Thursday, and to call the store on Friday if Gurnee had not called. I did get my boxes. I called Friday, Oct. 9, and was told the dolly *might* come Monday. I asked if they checked other stores. She did know. I said I wanted to cancel the dolly. I’m so disappointed...safety not enforced here. People walking around without masks. When I questioned an employee because I was upset that a man, with no mask, kept coming by me and talking and then started coughing...she apologized and said there’s really nothing they can do. The lady behind me said “if you want safety, you’ll have to go to Menards.” I left my stuff and went across the street. It was 200%. Better at Menards! Glad they are limiting the number of folks allowed in the store at any one time. Thank you for that. Sadly, still no wipes or face masks. But everyone there was helpful and very kind.
When a customer literally sits in the patio furniture area for 10-15 minutes and not a single employee notices them, it's time for an improvement. Also, how about opening some registers and not force customers to use the self-checkout. Lastly, when a call is made with a complaint, it might help to get the customer's name and number and not just say 'I'm sorry, I'll talk to them.' then say "thank you" and hang up.
The Kids Workshops are great!
Fantastic customer service. We prefer Home Depot, especially this specific location, because they are always ready to help and give a smile. They also allow dogs and I walk around their building frequently working on public manners and leash manners with various dogs I train. We also remodel our house and we prefer most of Home Depots products and prices over their competitors. :)
I went to this Home Depot today and had a great experience. I went to buy a new BBQ grill that was on sale. Mike helped me showing the features of the grill, showed me an electric Rotisserie that would work with it and good cover for it. Then he helped me get 60 watt garage door opener build that were on clearance. Then he took me over to the service counter and stayed with me to make sure my new grill would be assembled by their best assembler and to arrange a delivery day and time that was convenient to my schedule. Home Depot always has cool hands on projects for kids the first Saturday of each month from 9:00 am til noon. Grandkids love it. All supplies are free.
