We stood in an aisle hunting for screws and bolts for 20 minutes while staff kept wandering past chatting to each other. Not a single one offered any help. And then when I managed to get someone's attention, they left to get "the head of the department" and never returned. Absolutely useless staff.

You should train your employees to find a coworker who can help me find an item, or tell me you don't carry it. That would be much prefered to telling me they're not sure and offering no help at all. Poor form.
How does it happen that I pick out a storm door, pay for the storm door, and then find out, three days later, that the storm door was never ordered?
