The customer service is horrible. I called to find a store with a rental center and the person on the phone was so unhelpful.
We bought new expensive carpet and padding, had it installed by them, the carpet showed a wear pattern from walking and the padding broke down. We vacuum it everyday due to having kids and a dog. Some manager at onalaska home depot called and let me know they denied any warranty due to us not following the requirements of cleaning it every 12 to 18 months.....never got any paperwork stating that or were explained that by home depot. Front end manager lied to me and said that certain brands were exempt from the 10% Price match guarantee . Corporate confirmed to me that this is in fact not true. Cant even follow their own companies policies! .
This is one of the saddest home depots I've ever visited. Most employees I have had interaction with did not take much pride in their job, offer additional service, or attempt to connect with their customers to provide me with answers to my questions, with the exception of a few kind staff members. Most questions were met with shrugs, "I don't know" or "it's my lunch break". There seemed to be a lot of confusion and miscommunication between staff. I don't think I will be back to Home Depot here.
Getting carpet through Home Depot has been a horrible experience, would not recommend or go through them again.
We get all our paint at home depot. Always such friendly service!
