i went to buy a cordless drill. knowing little about them, i requested assistance from an employee. the 1st staff told me he didn't know about drills, but would call someone who could help me. after telling the 2nd staff.what i wanted to do with the drill, he suggested one. i agreed and also purchased a bit set, not suggested by employee. They have a kids wood building project every 1st Saturday of the month that has taught my daughter how to be a perfectionist in her nailing and painting of wood! It has taught her patience and relaxes her also while she works. The staff is helpful and will assist with expertise if necessary! They also have these events for Austism and other worthy causes! Best of all it is free!
I go there once a month to take my grandchildren for the kids crafts day. They are always treated so beautifully and look forward for their Saturday visit. I always shop before or after while I am there and have always had more than enough help to answer any questions I may have.
I stuck my purse in my car the other evening in the Merced store. I had to help load some plywood for about two minutes because the promised customer service person never showed up.' Someone got my purse with a lot of money and cameras, IDs jewelry and personal property. Manager at Home Depot says the video did not show the thief's car (parked right next to me) or the thief, So many lies it is just unbelievable . what ever you do don't come to this store, they will sell you things with lies, I guess they are desperate for money. save yourself a headache.
Worst store, with the worst manager, manager and sales person are liars and can't even comply with their own policy. Don't trust their word and don't trust their policy.
Best job ive ever had I Love Home Depot. The company is a great company to work for. They have many benefits to help employees financially. So when you retire you have no worries.
