RecommendedThe Hilltop restaurant in Orange Park is a very nice place to have dinner. John, the piano player, is there Wednesday through Saturday and his music is soothing, low enough to where you can have a conversation, but loud enough that you can enjoy your favorite songs. He has been there 32 years! He took us on a tour around the building. Their gardens will be beautiful in the spring and summer. They have weddings and other occasions there. It was Thanksgiving day, so as could be expected, it was very crowded and they were behind in reservation seating. The parking was not sufficient. The food was really good as was the selection, ranging from breakfast foods, fruit and cheese selections, salad bar with seafood, and including all the normal Thanksgiving dishes. The sweets selection were mini apple pies, mini cherry pies, some type of cheesecake, carrot cake, and some bite-sized sweets, all of which were very picked over. The wait staff were very friendly.

This our 3rd Thanksgiving here , the buffet was good as usual but they over booked horribly and we had to wait an hour for our table. Not the kind of experience I expected from such a fine restaurant. I hope they learned and won't do this again.
