RecommendedMy mother went to the Highlands of Brighton for rehab after a heart attack and ended up staying. She loved the staff. She was there for almost 2 years. The staff from the kitchen would sit in her room and talk with her. Activities kept her busy and even helped her do her laundry. The nursing staff were caring and attentive. The nurse practitioner Amber was absolutely fantastic as my mom was very ill I felt at peace knowing they loved her as a family member. The all staff involved in keeping the residents in Unit E have been fabulous . Great job during this Covid-19 event.
Do not let your family go here even for rehab. Staff doesnt care, Ward is rude with no people skills, this should not be part of Strong!! Department of Health should look into this place ASAP.
This is the absolute worst facility in Rochester New York. The way the elderly are treated is a disgrace!!! The staff are mean, rude, and cruel. They clearly couldn’t careless about anything. If at all possible please don’t send your loved one there. Somebody should be investigating this facility. Do not go here
this is the worst place in the county. I would never agree to have anyone sent here. The staff is lazy, and rude. The management is rude and arrogant. My lawyer has been informed about the poor conditions and rude staff.
SHAME ON YOU #URMC... this is part of your care! URMC should never allow this neglect to happen! This place is abhorrently filthy, the Health Dept needs to shut it down. It's not just cosmetic, when you have blood and feces on the walls, the floor tiles black with "gunk" and crumbling, bathrooms with soiled TV trays (yeah the cheap kind you put in your living room), and lies about never getting ANY discharge or medication instructions from staff.... its a PROBLEM. I love this place, I've had my partner there now on and off for the last two years. she has ms, rehab was awesome, so we're all the staff. I know it's hard to have someone there but it is well worth it, hope to have her home soon.
Don't let your family & loved one ever go to this place that was an absolute nightmare for my mom who was sent there for rehab. My sister and I filed a complaint with the health dept and also had to call for help with the office for the aging and an ombudsmen was sent to help my mom and did in fact find proof in her records that she was being mistreated and showed gross negligence and if another doctor that she had an outside appt with had not taken her temp and called the ambulance to get her to the hospital we would have N... read more
