sucky service Food is awesome, especially the crawfish and steaks. The waitstaff is the worst I have ever seen. Service takes hours and hours and hours. Bartender are rude unless you're an old guy buying a drink and tipping well, oh or a waitress off the clock (of course they get their food quickly). We have tried this place at 3 different times of business, and it is confirmed that the hideaway is incapable of good service in the morning, at midday, and at night.
Great Steak – My fiance and I traveled from Clear Lake to check out The Hideaway's Steak Night. We were NOT disappointed. The steak and loaded baked potato were fabulous. My only grip was that the salad was something I would have gotten at summer camp. It was served in a styrofoam bowl and it tasted as if it had been sitting out for awhile. If they took the salad out of the equation, it would still be a great deal and worth going back for. BONUS: We got to hear a great cover band with a small crowd. Check it out for yourself... read more
Bad Service? – After reading the other reviews, it confirms my thoughts so I will share. I think the bartenders here spend their time flirting way too much to the other men in the establishment (which is probably why your service was bad to begin with!). One, named Tina, needs to remember that married men go to this location and she needs to behave herself or she will find herself in lots of bad situations, if she hasn't already. I watched her personally flirting with one male at the bar, give him drinks after telling him th... read more
Maybe a bad night? – A buddy and I visited this place on a Tuesday night (5/4/10), which is their $12 Steak special day. At first, we had a kind waitress stop by and got our drink order when we waited for about 4 minutes after we sat down. Althoug she was not our waitress, she was nice enough to take the drink order for our assigned waitress. Our assigned waitress seemed....stressed, but the place was not very crowded (yet), because we got there right about 7. So then we got our drinks, after 10 minutes, I had to get our wai... read more
Cheap prices, and cheap everywhere else – Went for steaks with a friend and the steak was good, unfortunately the service was not. They are constantly out of stock on draft beers and don't bother going there for drinks with the girls because the creepy old men are like vultures and they won't leave you alone.
Stay Away! – Don't waste your time here. The food is alright for the price, but the kitchen doesn't seem too clean. They have friendly bar tenders, but the wait staff is horrible. Management doesn't seem to have a clue as far as what type of bar they want to be. Sometimes they have bands, but most of the time they don't. When they do, it is usually just the same couple bands over and over. If you do decided to take the chance and go there, hide your valuables, apparently there have been several cars broken into in the parkin... read more
