What is with insurance companies (The Hartford specifically) and the runaround of hours of filing one claim, submitting documentation, and speaking on the phone with representatives to have your claim denied because there are instead government disability options? My company is paying for their private insurance but because the State might further put California in debt to assist my FMLA, The Hartford denies responsibility. Seriously, just avoid paying out of pocket for insurance if you can help it. There is so much red tape... read more
