I got really BAD news just a few minutes ago!! An 81 year old widow that has insurance with Hanover and recently got a tree limb that fell on her house!! They gave her the runaround with 4 different people who were suppose to handle her claim! After almost 3 weeks and pictures etc. this lousy company refuses to pay for the tree limb wind damage to the roof and the gutters saying that her deductible will cover the expenses! They also raised her insurance premium $175.00 a month!! DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

Hanover has provided us with good rates, good coverage, and good claims service. I highly recommend them.
Do NOT buy a policy from them. After filing a claim they gave me the run-around for 10 months, and still ongoing, requesting various documents (police reports, affidavits, etc.) then claiming the documents are not enough to cover the claim. The customer service is horrible and they only respond with circular comments about how "they will lose their license" if they cover the claim, which is obviously complete nonsense.
