Dr. Bickel was the embodiment of holier-than-thou medical arrogance for which surgeons are famous. I came as a patient with a complex medical history seeking a second opinion, and he turned me away because he thought my medical history would make me a difficult to deal with. I would recommend going to see someone with more patience, empathy, and humility.
incorrect charges - 60 minutes late, appt lasted 1 minute, charged 350. Will never go back. My patient name was under Robert Edwards, they are trying to delete my comments incorrectly. Avoid this place at all costs. Will charge you over 350 for less than a 1 minute visit when they are 60 minutes late. Do not recommend!
I injured my wrist in a motorcycle accident and wasted over a year trying to fix it at a well known sports therapy clinic in my home city of Minneapolis. I stumbled upon Dr. Bickel while spending some time in San Francisco and decided to give him a shot. He assured me that with a minor surgery I'd be back to normal within days. I have seen Dr. Lang three times. I found him to be professional and helpful. The first time he diagnosed my problem quickly, taking x-rays and examining my hand physically. He told me I didn’t need surgery, and my hand healed soon after my visit. The second and third times were for the same situation: trigger finger. On the first of the two visits, he gave me a cortisone injection and my hand healed quickly. Before I left he warned me that I might be back after some time because trigger finger often returns.
