This place was suggested to us by a friend, and we are glad we gave it a try. We had fried oysters and shrimp. The she crab soup was wonderful. The stone milled grits —- made with heavy cream, butter, and cream cheese was out of sight! I could have made a meal from just those grits!!
The food was good. The service was ok. Way too crowded and load! Prices are off the chart for the atmosphere and quality/quantity of the food. $100 for this place after tip was a bit much. Won’t do it twice!
Food was great; had a crab, bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich, sweet potato fries, onion rings and a house salad. Everything was hot and fresh and the price was great!
For my first time eating oysters our server was very knowledgeable and recommended which ones to eat.....My boyfriend and I went through 2 dozen of the local and Virginia oysters!!!!!! We will definitely be returning on our next visit to SSI!!!!!!!
This by far was her favorite place in Saint Simons the oysters were perfect, shrimp and grits to die for and that dessert, what can I say it was the bomb
