Great shop, been hearing there radio ads so stopped by the Clackamas store, was greeted right away by a young man and immediately pointed me in the right direction. I have not bought my gun yet, but will be very soon from the Gun Broker.

Responding to: Look Elswhere – New firearms are covered by factory warranty and we inform customers that the warranty is between the customer and the factory. If a customer buys a new gun that has a problem only the factory can do an exchange on it. We still try to help the customer by packaging the firearm up and taking it to the post office; we try to be as helpful as we can. Sometimes the manufacturer will pay for shipping and sometimes they will NOT-we have no idea when they will or when they won

Look Elsewhere – What a horrible store. They sold me a new gun that did not work. Tried to take it in to have them fix return or exchange but they would do none of the above. ON top of everything the owner told me he could send the gun into the manufacturer at my cost. However I called them myself and they paid the shipping and fixing of the gun with not a penny cost to me. Cant say how upset I was as I even made a trade to them knowing they were a local company and trying to support them. Filed with the BBB as they should n... read more

A few weeks ago, I stopped by the Gun Broker in Tigard to inquire about classes offered for CCW (Concealed Carry Weapons). The young lady behind the counter informed me of two upcoming classes (Dec 14th and 28th) at 7:00 P.M. and a cost of $40. She also admonished me to try to be there by 6:45 P.M. Tonighte (Dec 28) we showed up at 6:30 P.M. to find the class had started at 6:00 P.M. and the paper taped to the front window indicated the cost was $80. You have got to be kidding me. To add insult to injury, the permit they wer... read more

Business response:

The instructor, who is not an employee of The Gun Broker, changed the time of the class and unfortunately we did not have the phone numbers of the people that were coming to be able to let them know. We NO longer do the Utah class so there is no confusion. We are sorry for the inconvenience we caused this customer or any other customer about this.

One of the very Best – My experience with the Gun Broker covers about ten years, I've probably bought a dozen guns from them. This shop has the combination of a good inventory, very friendly counter service, good prices, and knowledge of their sources. They also have a heck of a lot of knowledge about firearms, as well. By their sources, I mean their distributors. In one recent case, I wanted a specific target handgun, and shopped the Gun Broker and a bigger local sporting goods store. The big store had one distributor, they... read more

Poor gun handling practices – I happened to be in town last month and visited this shop. As I was browsing through the used rifles, I heard a "click-click-click-click-click" sound behind me. I turned to see a teenage girl behind a corner counter, dry-snapping a revolver. She then proceeded to the display case behind the main counter, and TWIRLED it on her finger before placing it down. There were two other employees present and neither one seemed concerned about her unsafe firearms handling. I have NEVER seen such a casual a... read more

Excellent Service! – OK, that review from the guy who posted in February '09 has GOT to be complete fiction. I have been in the Tigard, OR Gun Broker store many times, and have never been treated this way. Every time I have gone in there, the guys have been helpful, friendly, and didn't treat me like I was an idiot for asking questions. Yes, their prices are a little higher than other stores, but you know what? It's worth it for the kind of service they give you.

Don't bother, abysmal customer service . – I moved to Tigard but I never knew about this place. I went there today looking for some Cor-Bon 115 grain +P for my 9mm. I walked around with by infant son in his car seat for a bout 5 minutes and no one said a word to me. I went to the counter and stood for a few seconds. The clerk, a salt and pepper haired older gentleman, wouldn't make eye contact with me. After I stood there long enough he finally asked if he could help me. I barely said "Cor-Bon" before he said "Nope," and sta... read more
