Horrible food and experience. Never going back.
We used to love this place. Went for brunch today and was served cold eggs with raw potato (sold as a veggie frittata), frozen supermarket tater tots (also cold), and a quarter of a waffle with bacon bits, also cold and sold as chicken and waffles. Service such as it was was rude and condescending. This place has apparently decided that food quality or service are not important. I suspect they may find out that this is not the case.
We have always loved The grove. Tonight was our first time eating dinner there since their re-opening. The menu has changed a lot and not for the better in my opinion. Their only choices for protein are chicken and pork and they don’t have any gluten free options except for the salads. Now after you order your food you get a beeper so that when it’s ready you get to go pick it up at this window and take it back to table. They don’t have servers any more. The Grove has gone from one of the coolest places to hang out on a weekend to a gross dining experience that’s over priced and met with RUDE staff. Unorganized is an understatement... the food is NOT what it used to be and “service” no longer even exists. Obviously management could care less and the auto responses from Leal re their “renovation kinks” are a clear sign they could care less about what direction their restaurant is headed. Very upset with the Grove 2hrs wait on my food ! Got my money back . Sad. We spoke to owner and didn’t really cared.
