My uncle has been staying at the Grove of Northbrook for a while now, and after going THRU THE RINGER trying to find him a decent long-term nursing home, I honestly think we finally found the right place. He has a disability and we tried a bunch of places before this, including one of those "fancy" ones (ALIYA of Highwood, formerly Highland Park Nursing & Rehab). The social workers are great and they have been very patient with me. Everything is fine. Food is good.
I was doing rehab after a hospital stay. I was going to lose my apartment because I didn't have my checks with me. I was two weeks late. I don't have family in the area. Monica the Social worker there helped me getting the rent paid. So I had some place to go home to. She went out of her way. I totally am grateful for the help.
