This was our first time visiting the Shady Grove and were excited to see Jonathan Tyler at there last night. We were able to get there early, but there was a good amount of parking. All of the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The outdoor venue was well setup and the sound was very good. We also had food and drinks. All were very good value and quality. First restaurant I ever went to in Austin; and still my favorite place in town!
After having a bad experience with parking personnel at Shady Grove the staff took my concern and made it their own. I am extremely grateful for their generosity, but most importantly for addressing my concerns and going above and beyond. This place is great for food, service, and entertainment. Everyone should give this place a try, and if you ever experience something negative, know that Shady Grove will do their best to rectify any situation and keep you coming back.

Good food. Appetizer came out after my food. Apple cobbler was warm not hot.
Food was delicious! Beer was cold! Patio was spacious and shaded by beautiful trees. Try the noodle salad! It's a perfect combination of cool and crunchy! Perfect for a nice summer dinner.
Not from Austin, but when we visit we make it a point to eat here. Unfortunately, last night was the worst experience my entire family and i had. Unfortunately, we will no longer be visiting this place. Arrived at 845pm, there was 8 of us. Was told it would be a 30 minute wait, waited an hour after we brought it to the hostess attention to be sat down. The place was not packed.....many tables available for us to sit.
