I kept contacting them over and over, just trying to get a quote to cut my bushes and deal with weeds. I did contact and reach someone over and over, with promises I would get a quote and be contacted back. Never got anything after multiple days of contact. After a year in my first home, I hired The Grounds Guys of Little Elm in October 2024 to take care of my flowerbed. I picked them because they were a small, local business with decent reviews. Ben (the owner) responded quickly, gave a quote within a week, and the job turned out okay — overpriced in hindsight, but tolerable. A few plants didn’t survive, but he replaced them, and even installed a shrub for free when communication dropped for a couple weeks (first red flag). Ben is great when he decides that he wants to respond and work with you. After sending text messages asking for an update or a simple ETA on when a certain project will be done goes ignored for about a week and then you call him from your work number and he picks up - he’s choosing to ignore those text and doesn’t have the professional courtesy to just respond with a simple answer. So I’m done with this company. But like I said, he does decent work when he wants you as a customer.
UPDATE 2: Ben and his crew are amazing! Knowledgeable, respectful, and professional. After another landscaping company left my yard in pretty bad shape, Ben and his crew came to the rescue. I appreciate Ben so much. I’m so happy I found my lawn company for ALL my lawn/yard needs. Ben came by personally to check on my front flowerbed and to spray the weeds growing in the mulch.
