I had went there with my boy MoeJoe and was so sad when they stopped grooming and did only doggy daycare. Well when I rescued Dottie I knew where I wanted her groomed. Gert was phenomenal it was Dottie first groom. She looks so beautiful. I can't recommend Gert and Groove Hound enough. You will not be sorry. 5 Stars if I could I would give more.
I recently moved into the Philadelphia area less than a month ago and have been looking for new groomer to take good care of our furry baby! Well, someone recommended Groove Hound and from the moment we walked in we were welcomed by Kelly & Gert! They truly love all the babies they are entrusted to care for as if they all were their own. Kelly & Gert are wonderfully caring, community oriented people and business owners. We have found our NEW groomers!! Thank you Philly for welcoming us with open arms!!
I moved to Amber Street in Sept 2008. Gert opened her doors in Nov 2008. Used to take my Mickey to her as often as I could afford to. She's great with dogs and her love for them shows in her work. Since I moved back to the burbs in 2013, I've been trying to do Mickey myself. He never looked so good as coming from a couple hours of pampering! Congratulations Gert for being so successful! I think of you often...So does Mickey!
Unreliable 100% Apparently in 2018 the option to show up to work is optional, as a business owner. My girlfriend made a Saturday, 8AM appointment 2 weeks in advance, and the owner was a no show. The means of communication seem to be far and few between with this place. There is NO physical store phone you can call. You are contacted back at the owners discretion via cell phone. This is poor business practices especially with social media spreading the word quickly. I recommend others to stay away.
I love Groovehound! They take care of my dog and all of his grooming needs. He’s not an easy dog to work with! When I pick him up, he looks so happy! I can tell he’s comfortable there ♥️
