Our first visit to the green goat was everything and more than we expected! Our waitress Amy, was awesome and gave knowledgable recommendations on what to order. She refilled our drinks before they were empty and checked on us frequently. Our food was delicious and came to our table promptly. We will definitely be back.
As a frequently returning prior resident of Roanoke, I am always eager to try the new places that have popped up since I've been gone. The Green Goat did not disappoint. The atmosphere and location is beautiful, authentic, spacious and relaxing. The food was top notch-fresh, delicious, all homemade. And the service was A++. Our waitress, Amy, was super attentive, gave great suggestions, was quick without hovering, and kept our drink glasses full. This has definitely become a returning location whenever I'm in town.

Love this place. You can really tell the owners and the staff care.
We will not be back. Our server, Christopher, was very rude! Upon arrival he toook us to a table without even greeting us. He cut us off when we asked a question about the menu and put a drink list in front of us and walked away abruptly as if we were annoying him. A few minutes later he returned and asked what we wanted to drink and when my husband said water for now he replied "then you won't be drinking" and left again abruptly. I can't say enough about this restaurant and their customer service. We travelled to Roanoke from Winchester Va today to visit our daughter and had a fabulous lunch at my favorite spot! I thought about the Blondie dessert for days.... Our phenomenal waiter John then told me they were out of it until later in the day. No problem we said, we'll just stop back later. Let me start off by stating that I have never given a review on a restaurant before. However, I feel the need to review and rate the experience I had at The Green Goat on May 14, 2016.
