We had a wonderful time last night, Joe and everyone treated us great! The ales were fantastic, the food is wonderful. I wish I could make the place bigger!!
A friend of mine told me about this place last month, and I finally had the chance to go when my brother and I were passing through this weekend. We sat at the bar and ordered a pair of Black Abbey Specials. Joe talked with us for a long time about beer and Tolkien lore. By far one of my best bar experiences ever. Everyone was friendly, and it makes me sad that I don't live closer.
FANTASTIC atmosphere, easy to get to (Was passing though town, and it was less than 5 mins from the highway), the food was great, service was awesome, and it definitely has a very cool Tolkienesque feel. Be sure to stop by here, I am confident they are only going to get better, and I'll be sure to stop by on my next trip through town (From KY, heading to GA) MANY KUDOS TO THE OWNERS AND STAFF!
Beer was great, food was great and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. It's a small place - I see expansion in their future.
