Poor! poor! poor! service. We, 2 friends and I, visited to eat lunch. We waited over 40 minutes to receive our food. When we had to return to work before being served, they had not even started cooking our Reubens. THEY MADE US PAY FOR OUR DRINKS!!!
Not gourmet food, but doesn't try to be. Hits the mark on food, service and atmosphere. I expected decent tavern food, but all 5 of us had great home cooked grub. Two had the short ribs, which were excellent. I loved the beef shepherd's pie. Everyone loved the shared fries and pieroghies. Lots of variety on the menu. Can't wait to return. Went right after a Penn State game and it wasn't packed. Metered street parking was free after 5 pm and plentiful. That's a big deal when you live in Philly.
I would probably give a 4-5 star rating, however, the waitress was not very nice. The food was delicious! The waitress was not personable at all. She did not speak to us, she did not bring refills, etc. She started to be a bit more personable when it was time to pay the bill.
This place is so cool and the food is amazing ! I highly recommend it to anyway coming by this historic community
Stopped in for lunch after work. I had the crab cake and my husband a burger both were phenomenal! We will definatly be repeat customers.
