This smoky East Side bar is a beer haven and cigar bar all rolled into one, with over 100 bottled beers and more than 60 brews on tap. The Ginger Man is decorated with antiques, dark woods, brass fixtures and comfortable booths for drinking and eating. Pop and soul music play in the background. There are also good salads, sandwiches and stews, but most patrons come for the fine imported and domestic beers, ales and cigars, as well as the large selection of single-malt Scotch. The crowd is especially thick after work.

Great beer selection! – Fantastic selection of beers here. They have EVERYTHING! You want Bud, Heiniken, Miller, they got it. Or if you want some exotic trappist beer from egypt that nobody's ever heard of, well, they got that too.
Great Beer! – While this place can be the most ideal bar to be at for great beer, it's environment can be easy to settle in and socialize with your drinks and food. The music is great and fitting for the most part for a pub (if that's not to your likings then there's always the jukebox). Smelly and Dirty – Place was so crowded, we never got our drinks, the staff is nasty, one guy tossed his guts up right inside the bar, it was grose.
Beer Connosseur's Playground – My first visit to Ginger Man echoed the last reviewer's sentiments of "go for the beer, not for the service." My experience reflected this entirely, in that the service ignored my group and I for the better part of the night and the only thing that rescued what could've been a really bad time was the interesting variety of beer. Go for the beer not for the service – I went to the bar on a monday night for a friend's birthday party. It wasn't even that crowded, but for some reason the bartender took forever to get to you. There were times I wanted to leave just because of the bad service. However, once I tasted the beer I stayed!
sit at the bar and avoid waitress from hell – a great bar for their top quality beer selection that's changed often enough...but a rude, snotty and inattentive waitress nearly ruined our evening. and unlike most nights it wasn't even busy that night. a real downer.
Relax with some good beer – I've been to the Ginger Man a few times, and I've had nothing but pleasant experiences every time. They have about 80 beers on tap - including two hand-pumped cask ales. They also serve basic food - nothing fancy, just some sandwiches, some bratwurst and simple appys. Wide beer selection – The selection of beer and scotch at the Ginger Man is impressive. A good after work hangout, the scene here tends to get crowded early on weekdays. The food, while standard fare for a pub, is actually pretty good. The Ginger Man is a good place to meet friends on a Sunday for a late lunch.
Good Beer – Enough though I can't stand 99% of the bars in MH, this place always seem to have a new interesting beer on tap. I stop in every couple of months to see what's new.
